Almost half done with my sons afghan. The colors make me think of the lake on a stormy day. I will keep plugging away and it will be finished eventually.
Hopefully sooner rather than later..

Inspired by my trip to Colorado (25 degrees), I am officially ready for cold weather.
Knit with Lornas Laces Shepherd Sock yarn using patterns from Colorwork Creations by Susan Anderson-Freed. Slightly improvised (I can’t help myself, I have to fiddle with other peoples patterns..)
The hat pattern has ear flaps, which I am still debating about. I was not pleased with my colorwork knitted flat but think knitting it in the round might make it too thick. Maybe I could knit the earflaps solid black. Hmmm.
In the meantime, I will be wearing these!
Remember the desk I found by the side of the road?
Hubby built two drawers to replace the missing ones and I threw a couple coats of paint on it.
And this is what I have now:
Just returned from Colorado where my lovely granddaughter was married this past weekend.
It is hard to believe she is old enough, seems like just yesterday I was holding a newborn baby.
May the two of you have a wonderful life together!
Holes in the heels of my stash socks and a darner I am not.
So I bought these..
..and now have this. No holes (that you can see) and no darning. Woo hoo, I am ready for winter!
How many lace patterns have been inspired by spiderwebs?
It has been foggy with mist here all night and it seems our lace knitters found Bob the Builder’s truck an enticing spot.
The webs are so fragile appearing that it seems the mist droplets would weigh them down and pull them apart.
Ah Nature, we can only imitate you and dream of capturing a little of your beauty.
