The Knitting Guild Association offers certification as a master knitter. You knit swatches and projects, do research, answer some questions and write a report.
I got it in my head that I can be a master knitter, so I ordered the materials.
My package arrived in the mail today. I couldn’t wait to start my first swatch.
However, being a good future master knitter, I followed the instructions in the welcome letter and read ALL the instructions prior to starting my first swatch.
After all, a good knitter always follows instructions, right? Unless, of course, she is changing the instructions to suit herself..
I know you can do this. Have fun 🙂
It will be a challenge!
What an exciting challenge! Looking forward to seeing the progress 🙂
My goal is to complete the swatches and reports before Christmas. There is a lot of research involved!
I’m interested in this. I’ve visited the TKGA site several times with the eventual goal of joining. I think that I will. I want to be a master…
There is a Ravelry group that just talks about the masters program under TKGA. It helped me decide to do it.
I snooped them and also the project pages. I’m totally doing it 😀
I even searched for a local guild so maybe there will be a few pluses along the way.
Can’t wait to follow your journey!
